- 31 - FEED FLUIDS The TI/D cutters can be fed by different fluids’ type depending on their use and work constricting. Possible configurations: - Mineral oil (different viscosity available) - Glycol water - Demineralized water - Oil/water mixed with accumulator In case of accidental leakage, a water fed is the best solution to minimize the impact on the work area, especially in a pool or a cell; it is also absolutely non- flammable. BEATER FOR TUBE CRUSHING With the TI/D cutter it is possible to first crush the tube to keep any fluid confined before cutting. To do so, replace the cutter’s mobile blade by the beater type tool. This can be done by a remote-operator. Note that there is no need to dismount the 2 fixed blades. SHAVINGS’ CHAMBER TI/D cutters can be fitted with a shavings’ chamber as the shavings ejection is not always suitable with the work environment: impact on thin wall, small element recovery difficult, peripheral devices interacting... The container on the cutter’s bow can be drained remotely. The container can be made with a perforated sheet to visually control the filling level.
