- 35 - The BPI/LDI cutters have been made to work through all kind of supports and materials. They are used for nuclear or chemical plant decommissioning, for car industry recycling or buildings demolition. Alternative choice to the sabre saw and grinder, the hydraulic cutter is fast and safe and doesn’t generate any hot point (smelting material or sparks), or a high decibel level. The range offers 2 different capacities developing respectively 300kN and 400kN. Each model can be fitted with short curved or straight or long curved or straight blades. The BPI/LDI cutters are powered by a LIBERVIT BLUEline hydraulic power unit or by a manual pump (see PMD2810 model). A 50 meter double hydraulic hose connect the tool to the power unit or a 25 meter one for a manual pump. The cutters’ feed is done via a simple or double effect: the double effect mode guaranteeing the automatic re-opening of the blades after cutting. In simple effect configuration, the cutter’s opening is controlled by a pneumatic spring. The blades close when actioning a rotating handle doubled with a dead man switch to limit accident risks when cutting. For remote applications, in a cell for example, the cutter’s remote control is transferred to the hydraulic unit or a dedicated desk. The BPI/LDI design is such that only a minimum maintenance is required to guarantee your equipment complete availability. LIBERVIT also guarantees to provide the origin of all parts as well as a 10 years spare parts availability.
