- 40 - MIXED PROFILE BLADES Cutting thick stainless-steel tube with a curved blades cutter is often a delicate application. We often note a twisted of the blades when these enter in contact with the material as well as a violent ejection of the cut tube once the blades cross. This phenomenon is explained by the tube distortion as it adapts to the blades’ shapes and creates a strain ending in a clear cut of the material. To obtain a smoother effort as the blades close, LIBERVIT has developed a new blade withy a curve area and a straight notched area both separated by a sharp edge arrow shaped. When the blades cross, the arrow perforates the metal tube. From that point on, the material is progressively divided in both directions, this way the energy is freed progressively and continuously.
