- 47 - The hydraulic cutters MCL are light & compact tools made to perform all sorts of cutting job on all kind of support and materials. Used for nuclear decommissioning, they are perfect to cut cables or feed flexibles. For the car industry recycling they are best used to remove fixing nuts. For the pulp and paper industry, they are perfect to remove paper pulp bales’ wrapping wire. Alternative choice to the sabre saw and grinder, the hydraulic cutter is fast and safe and doesn’t generate any hot point (smelting material or sparks), or a high decibel level. The range offers 2 different capacities developing respectively 30kN and 50kN. Each model can be fitted with short curved or straight or long curved or straight blades. The cutters’ feed is done via a simple or double effect: the double effect mode guaranteeing the automatic re-opening of the blades after cutting. In simple effect configuration, the cutter’s opening is controlled by a pneumatic spring. The blades close when actioning a rotating handle doubled with a dead man switch to limit accident risks when cutting. The MCL design is such that only a minimum maintenance is required to guarantee your equipment complete availability.
