- 51 - The ETS tube crusher has been designed to crush tubes to keep any residual fluid in before cutting. We then get a pressurized fluids’ tightness. The 270kN power of the ETS is the perfect power to crush steel tubes up to Ø33mm and up to 3.2mm thickness. Its capacity and light weight offer a quick and secure work without a high decibel level. The cutters’ feed is done via a simple or double effect: the double effect mode guaranteeing the automatic re-opening of the blades after cutting. In simple effect configuration, the cutter’s opening is controlled by a pneumatic spring. The blades close when actioning a rotating handle doubled with a dead man switch to limit accident risks when cutting. The ETS has a visual control system to check on the crushing result: the green light is on as soon as the jaws close, the operator keeps the crushing pressure until a second red light switches on. To ease the tool commissioning on the tube a special “Quick Snap TM ” locking clamp has been fitted which can be remove without the tool. The ETS design is such that only a minimummaintenance is required to guarantee your equipment complete availability.
